Ok here goes, I'm an architectural photographer (see website www.borosch.com). I'm wanted to do more fashion and glamour. I wanted to run some consistent lighting tests with various light modifiers, so I bought a mannequin head at a beauty supply company.

The test were done with the hope of keeping the exposure consistent. I was using 1 Profoto pack for the back ground another Profoto pack for the hair light both heads had grids the main (key) light was another Profoto pack and the fill when used had it's own pack too.

Most of the photos posted here only have a Main (key) light unless noted this where I really wanted to see what the various light shapers did. The one problem I see is the mannequin's plastic skin is too smooth so did not see much difference between the white beauty dish and the silver (maybe real skin would show more)

I think my favorite combination is the 5 foot reflector combined with the ringflash anyway you be the judge. I hope this helps others as well
