The information you put with the photos help me a lot. The data gives me a better understanding on what it takes to make the shot.It sure is good to see that you are sticking it out here. I checked out the other site. Its ok but does not seem to have the professionalism that this site provides. I just want to say to keep em comming Don.

Nice images Don!

What adapter did you use to attach the strip light to the ABs?

Not bad a'tall, sir.

"Dark accessories against a dark background" is a hard combination. Is the hat black, or dark gray? Her pants? Gotta try some of that myself - looks challenging.

She's very pretty. Nice work.

Nice shots and it looks like Jamie has great potential. Your smoke from the cigarette came out extra nice. Did you have to do anything to the smoke in PS?
I do think you needed more separation between background and model for both shots. The black hat (and other black items) blends into the background. On image #2, the hat and background blend so much that you can't fully see the hat. I usually like to put a rim light or something like that to give some separation.

I used a rim light for this one to get hat from background separation. Now if I just had the smoke for the cigarette!

Cheers,
rfs

where did you get that ridiculous hat? isnt' that the kind of hat that's worn with lederhosen?

beautiful girl. she looks very comfortable. but let me bash you for a moment. just cuz the girl's new and you've never shot her before doesn't mean yu should be shooting safely in the box just to minimize screwing up cuz all you end up with is very safe images. i could be wrong, but methinks you played it safe with the lighting. try shooting some of it in the safe zone and then go for the stuff that's less safe... even tho the model's new. she won't have a clue what you're doing anyway and yu'll still have the safe-zone pics to show her if the out-on-a-limb pics suck. but the non-safe-zone pics are where your best shot at your best shot are going to take place.
