I'm certainly no expert, I just marvel at these images. She is very attractive and this is a nice image, but is it just me, or does the angle make it appear like she has a tooth in the center of her mouth? I thought everybody had a "gap" there, with teeth on the sides of the centerline.

i didn't see the "tooth" either. Her eyes caught my attention too much for me to break away. LOL She's amazing anyway, but it's truly interesting to see just what an angle can do to a shot. OH ... and PLEASE post some more of her, OK?

Great shot Andre. Here's a couple more shots of the beautiful Allison.

***** As a side note ***** - please remember that many of these girls are young and have fragile self esteems and to keep our critiques to the images and not the models. I realize that this was done innocently but such comments could hurt some and would be better off addressed via a PM.

Perhaps, just perhaps, this isn't the best business for them to be part of if they have "fragile self esteems" and could get hurt by comments about their appearance. I always thought models were judged solely on their appearance. If we have to be careful about saying what they look like, why even use them?

Just one dumb guys opinion, but geez...who cares if their feelings are hurt?
Do we hire them for their feelings or to be models?

I leave the touchy feeling stuff at home before I shoot. You can't really put a models feelings before her ability, can YOU?

This isn't a mutual admiration society...its models and photographers.

Models model and photographers shoot them.

Ooops, I goofed. It IS a mutual admiration society.

to a degree. ;-)

Maybe treating them like nothing more than an object to achieve our goals is fine for some photographers but not all. Just because a woman is a model doesn't mean she has to be a hardass about the biz so long as she's professional. It's all about a look and if she has it, what does it matter what's inside her head so long as she gets the job done?

How many famous faces are out there that had problems with their own self esteem that we don't know about or find out about until years later? There are plenty in both the acting and modeling industry. So while I agree to a certain degree with your statement, this is just another ol' guys opinion. I think it is up to each one of us to decide how we treat those we work with.

I always believe in treating people, espeically models, like a million dollars during the shoot. My issue is how we critique and discuss them afterwards.

If you want to fall in love or impress a model, cool. Don't say anything bad about her.

If you want to look at a model as a model, then you can objectively look at her and talk about her features and negative aspects. I'm certain that off the internet, hundreds of clients and photographers are looking at model comp cards and images and tearing the girls apart based upon their appearance. Its the way of the world.

Models are judged on appearance and if they can't handle that, they probably are in the wrong business.
