Here's two photos that I took last weekend at the IGBN workshop in Philly.

I though of these shots after the first day of the workshop. I bought the silk roses, and the metal heart-looped belt after dinner on Saturday night, with the hope that we'd be able to use them on Sunday. I actually bought the white glass pearl necklace to do some shots with another model, but I thought it would work well for the second shot, so I added it.

I owe Hillary a lot of thanks, because if it wasn't for her enthusiasm, we would have never been able to pull it off (we were REALLY short on time).

Great work, Manny. Hillary's a doll to work with and you and she created some lovely images here!

Manny,

That first photo says all the right things. I can't stop looking at it. Excellent work.

Very nice work. I watched you set up the first picture and wasn't too sure how it would look, but you really pulled off a great picture. Great imagination.

Hillary is a wonderful subject.

Thanks Josh, thanks Vic, thanks Dave! Like I said, I owe Hillary a lot. I can buy the props, visually set up the shot, and ask the model to pose in a certain way. In the end it's the model who makes or breaks the final photograph. I've taken a few photos where it's obvious the model wasn't into the idea of the shot, and the photo looks dull. Then you have the exact opposite like this where the model makes the final image jump off the screen.

I can't thank her enough.

Here's one more from a different angle.
