Summer (yes, really) does the "good coed gone bad" look really well, but I wanted a little artsier look here.

Interesting shot, but why does she look so apprensive? Was she unhappy with posing nude?

Perceptive comment, and one I never thought about. (Although I'd call the look pouty/serious and I do like it.) I looked through her pictures and the look remains basically the same. Hmmmm, why?

I don't think she's apprehensive about posing nude. Although this was our first shoot and early in her career, Summer's in the adult business. Possibly tired after a long 2.5 hour ride on a winter day followed by several hours of shooting? Maybe. Lack of creativity on my part? Yes, I could have done better in drawing out different looks.

...Or my latest theory? I think most models have a "baseline look" that they revert to when they're not doing the model-face thing and we're not drawing them out. Kinda like the "reset defaults" buttons on the Nikon F100. Those blessed with the winning standard look win fame and fortune. I'd guess photographers and everybody else has it to, though nobody ever looks at us. It's the face we wear when we're not thinking about wearing a face at all.
