Well I promised JT Smith I'd drop by his Las Vegas Supershoot which is currently going on. Unfortunately, I have to head back to Texas in preparation for Photo Plus Expo in NYC later this week where I'll be speaking.

But before we called it a wrap for me, I decided to go out on the strip and do some shooting. Here's an image I shot a few hours ago with Chris & Tiffany. Many thanks to Glenn from Spectrum Studio in Toronto, Steve, Dan and my assistant Rick for helping get this shot off the ground.

A special thanks to JT for inviting me. It was also great to finally meet Chung Lee, Johnny Olsen, Don & Deanne, Chad Boutin (sp), Eric Striffler and so many others as well as to see Kelly, DK, Jeff, Timmothy Dolph, BobbyG, Chelsie, Ginger, Sarah, Chris and so many others again. All great people. I only wish I could stay longer.

For those coming to Photo Plus, let me know if you ever attend one of my future workshops for a discount. Again, thanks to all, and if you've emailed or PM'd me, bear with me, I'll answer you soon. Thanks again, headed home in about 12 hours...thanks, rg sends!

Honestly, I'm sure you need a permit, not sure though. Because of this, we worked quietly and with little gear. My assistant had the Hensel Porty Premium power pack on his shoulder, as it comes with a shoulder strap. He also had the head of the Hensel Ring Flash in a gym bad and only pulled it out when needed.

Since there were so many folks on the street with cameras, I just carried one camera, one lens, no bag, no tripod, no monopod, no light stands, etc. My assistant would hold the ring flash up the way I wanted, so the edge would only catch the faces.

Sure, we drew a bit of a crowd, but in Vegas on the strip on a Friday night, crowds are everywhere. The only hard part was to keep people away from the railing to watch the water/light show. Glenn, Dan and Steve took care of that.

Funny thing is, when I arrived in Vegas I had this shot in my head from being here a few times before. It was all planned and because of that, the actual shoot took place in the time it took to play one music song to the water show they do. We only did one "take" at another area, but I didn't like the area and when this spot became available, we moved in.

We knew we had this shot in the can after we did it, but we walked the strip looking for other sites, in the end, we called it a night as this one shot was my only goal for a photograph coming here. We have about 25 versions of it, but this was my better one I think, hard to tell cause I'm on my laptop. When I get in late tonight I'll go through them again this weekend and double check.

Thanks, rg sends!
