I was just trying to make exactly this point. If we evolve as quickly as we have in the last century in all things(technology, warfare, everything), what will we evolve to? The violence can be exponentially greater the more we go along. That's all I was saying. It's just a disturbing trend on the part of humanity on the whole.

To have a discussion like this is another reason why the artist's statement is important to the work. Like it or not, agree or not, it creates a dialogue.

I am taking the word, Evolution in a very loose sense. Your definition of evolution is the correct one in a strict sense. What I was asking in my statement was a loose term to ask where have we evolved as human beings in a more overall sense.

Very true. Survival of the fittest. But there does come a time when we have a control over nature that we can decide not to make other species extinct. We have the power not to clear the rainforests. Natural selection is one thing, but some species extinction due to man I believe will end up hurting us the more it happens.

I don't think the ID crowd would find it acceptable. [It's not clear (to me) what would be, but I doubt this work. Although I do get a religious feel from it. Got the same thing with the entire legs/feet? BTW, my eyes are pretty bad - are they "mudded", made-up, or is it the lighting/exposure that gives the wonderful, dark skin tones?]

That is going to be a part of my adam and eve series(an offshoot of the original series)...Of this part in the series I don't have any with the feet as they're going to be tighter crops..

The tones are created by the mud and lighting I used. It's a combination of those two factors.

Nice stuff. Good, solid three-dimensional "feel" to the image. And, yeah, Adam and Eve works for this.

Somewhere back in time (around the end of the Ice Age) a cople of people were sitting by the fire. The older man turned to the group and muttered, "We are all going to die. The Ice is melting! We have global warming !!

From then on we have strived to aniliate ourselves because we are (as a People) totaly convensed we are going to A) Rule the world. or B) Die trying. Their is more of us now so we have to develop new and bigger weapons to kill off more of the "other" people. Back when their was only 100,000 people on earth one gone was alot. With 3.4 Billion 10,000 isn't very many.

But one thing is certain, Mother nature has a way of keeping any and all species in check. Our time is coming. Bomb, plaig, drout, weather. She will get the bunch sooner or later.
