This is not what I meant...

"I think what you really mean is if we're going to evolve in the direction you want us to, then we have to conform to your behavior standards."

Nope...my behavior standards match that of a civilized world which rejects terrorism. We have to act individually against the little terrorists who try to take the rights of others away. One way to do that is to not work with them. It might sound idealistic, but then about 150 years ago no one could imagine a black person owning property or a woman having the right to vote. Your ideas match that of the pre civil rights movement-don't rock the boat, take it and shut up because nothing can be done to change our world. Unfortunately, the world and our country has evolved beyond those simplistic ideas and I support that evolution. You can call those ideas of evolution a problem, selfishly motivated and "the foundation for censorship, book burning, facism, and theocracy." (which is actually what you are supporting by telling Tim to take the job) However, I call it protecting and supporting civil rights laws and our free world. You go ahead and live with a few abusive asses and call it the "Real world". I choose to let abusive people know that they are a dying breed and there are societal punishments for taking away the rights of others. I choose to empower people like Tim so that they know that there are people and laws protecting them against this kind of daily terrorism and abuse. They don't have to take it and it can be changed by demanding a basic respect for our fellow men and women.

You eat the meat,...and you throw away the bone.. ...the skin can be pretty good too man.......damn,...I'm making myself hungry again..

Anyway,... learn what you can from him....ask him a ton of questions,...let him know that you are there to learn,...and perhaps the ***** will actually acknowledge your efforts..and treat you better than most.. Just keep in mind that you are there not necessarly to be his little "bitch", but as a professional who needs to gain some things that can't be taught in the books.

I got my schooling not from books, but from assisting professional commercial photographers in my area.

... you better throw in some rhetoric about opposing terrorism. No one can disagree with you then, and if you're lucky, they'll forget what you were talking about in the first place.

And just because you aren't buying it GEORGE doesn't mean that no one is. My point always was that we have to stand up to abusive people and not give in. They can not teach. They have no right to take rights away and we should not be so willing to give up our rights because someone has something we want. The guy is a terrorist. Threatening and/or intimidating another person in order to gain control of that person -whether the threats are physical or verbal- IS terrorism.

Here's the definition for you. You can take any future argument up with Webster's...I'm sure they don't know what they are talking about either-it's just rhetoric...

Terrorism:
The unlawful use or threatened (ie: verbal-in case you don't understand the word threatened) use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing.

Verbal abuse is as bad and as forceful as physical abuse. I could give you a psychology lesson, but I have a feeling that my words would be wasted because you are bound to defend the abuser.

I don't know the man that we are even arguing about, however the fact that you keep defending his "right" to abuse really bothers me...you are speaking as though you are defending yourself. Are you him???? Regardless of who you are, I have a right to make this point and it is not lost on everyone-it is only lost on you and that is unfortunate-especially since you served in our military and are supposed to be defending freedom.

I will not waste any more time responding to your posts. You have tried to make an alternate point by twisting my words, however my posts and advice are consistant, can be supported and I stand behind every one of them. There is a consequence to giving into the behavior mentioned in the original post. Whether you agree or not is beside the point. I will not respond to you anymore because you are making the thread too long. I am sure that Tim has made his decision by now anyway, so none of this is helping him and you aren't going to convince me that any kind of abuse (terrorism) is OK.

I never defended anyone and I never said that any kind of abuse was OK. If you want to twist someone's words so you can create a windmill to tilt at, pick a different target. I find it offensive. If you're just too dense to read what's really being said instead of filtering it through your own agenda, I guess that's your problem, not mine.
