For those who have followed my drama over the last year...moving to hell with my fiance last june, losing out on a job last August after the fifth interview because someone found my portfolio link and thought it was pornographic and they just didn't want "that type of person working for them", almost killed myself in February after a near fatal car accident, left my fiance in April after 10 years due to domestic violence, and recent struggles with money problems as a result of that break-up... I can finally see a light at the end of this long dark tunnel.
I got a full time job that will allow me to provide for myself and daughter. I have a few more financial wrinkles to iron out in my life, but things are looking up. I can't model much anymore because I won't have the time. I will stay in touch with my friends here and post because I know and love this business. It is my creative outlet and I like being an advocate to people in this industry. I will model when I can so that I can keep a portfolio of pics, but for the most part, I'm retiring.
I always tell new models have fun while it lasts because modeling is temporary and unstable-your career can be gone tomorrow for unknown reasons. If you can hold on for two years, you've had a good run. If you hold on for five years, you've had a great career. If you hold on for ten years, you've achieved the impossible. I've held on for ten and I can't believe it. I remember my first shoot ever with Richard Fegley like it was yesterday. I look at those pictures and can't see where the years went. I look much the same, but I am a different person now. I have learned so much about self-motivation, determination, self-worth and life in general through this industry that I feel completely fulfilled and ready to take on a new industry.
I can grow old and say that I took chances, reached for my dreams and achieved them. AND, I'll have the pictures to prove it
Just wanted to say thanks to all the people who believed in me and helped me in this industry. You will always be my dearest friends because we share the same passion for art, imagination and creativity. Those things will always be a part of who I am and I am glad to have had the chance to share with all of you.
I'll have some pics to post from Robert Sanders workshop soon, but here's one of my old favorites for now.
