Hey All,

As many of you know I just recently got my alien bee package. I have not had the opportunity to get a "model" under my lights yet...so when my tuner buddy and his wife came up from Atlanta yesterday, I decided to borrow his 350z and try my hand a Lighting a car. The shot was done at night in the driveway. 4 alien bee's, beauty dish, 30x60 sb, barndors and brolly box. So, needless to say this was my very first attemp using my new lights AND lighting a car in any kind of professional manner. For those of you that have car shooting experience, critiques and comments are appreciated. And of course...everyones comments and cretiques are always welcome. Here "she" is. Not female, but still sexy in her own right.

Thanks,
Michael

Hmm, Alien Bees huh? Like 'em.

First thing I would do is either part it so that you driveway seam doesn't show. Clean driveway BTW. Also, these cars look tons better photographed from that angle is the front wheels are turned away from the camera. Without knowinh what you were trying to acheive, this is really all I can say.

to say im impressed would be an understatement! that looks great. i agree with an above coment maybe photoshop a bit to create an even surface underneath so you'd never know it was a driveway, in fact without you telling me i wouldnt have known.

VERY cool shot!!!

get the right side directly in front of the car, (make it a soft transition line) and youre ALL set.

Careful, accoring to what I read in a previous tread, you can never, ever, but ever ever, show these pictures in public again. They show the brand of the car.
Maybe the guys that gave that advice will reconsider their comments after seeing that we do it all the times. Now if you want to sell the pics as stock, then you want to obscure and/or remove logos.

Nothing. You've already fixed the only problem I see, the driveway seam. I would venture to say you've already mastered those 'bees'. Good work, tire direction or not!

Tim,

Can you explain clariy please. You mean shoot or light? How would I make it a "soft transition" line? Please explain.

Thanks,
Michael
