I am not sure if it is because of the scaling down but her face looks distorted. I would have prefered a darker background and more light on her, but that is just my preference.

Thanks for posting and the comments. I don't see the distortion but it certainly is possible going from a 84 meg tiff file to a 300k jpeg.

When you posted this photo to GG's portfolio, you uploaded it with a size of greater than 600 pixels. GG then resized it and this will often cause the photo to look poorer than it should. Typically a 360 x 600 photo like this should be 50-60k in size whereas yours ended up at less than 20K. You might want to resize it down to 600 pixels high, and then resubmit it and I bet it will look a lot better.

Here's a comparison photo to show the before and after effect. The photo on the left was 600 pixels when uploaded and the one on the right was 601 pixels when uploaded and was thus resized by GG.

Notice also how it makes the right photo have lots of artifacts and actually gives it a short of over sharpened look.

Cheers,
rfs

Comments? Ok...here goes... Underexposed, muddy, flat, uninspiring, expression looks blah, Pose looks kinda odd, hand pushing into her chest is not attractive.

Now these comments are just the opinion of one man so take them for what they are worth.

Yes the image is clearer with fewer jpg artifacts. But I guess I have to agree with Scott on this one. It needs some work.

Here is one of Renee before the hair change.
