Model wanted bondage - wife said "absolutely not"

So, I thought I'd share this story.

I've been communicating on and off with a model at another site. We finally both connected when we both wanted to do a shoot. She sends me a message something like "How about a Bettie Page style bondage shoot?" I'm kinda thinkin' "Yah, that sound cool." I casually mention it to my wife and she totally freaks out and says "absolutely not!"

I wasn't expecting this reaction from her. Especially since this model doesn't do nudity. From a photographic standpoint it would be much more tame than doing nudes - in my opinion.

Thankfully the model took the news well and said she had many other ideas if I was interested in hearing them. So, hopefully we'll still shoot together.

Question: Is a Bettie Page Bondage style shoot more tame than a playboy style nude shoot or not. What's your opinion and why?

Bondage is Bondage.... is it whips, ropes, chains or gag balls? That would be the only differences. Bondage relates to sexual gratification. Many try and spin art into bondage but I have never found it to be anything else other than a dominate and submissive role playing sexual gratification thing......not judging, just saying.

My question is, how can it mean anything different then what it is?

Women/Wives rarely have any creative flair and since they don't want us to have too much fun, NO is the first word out of their mouth..

My Wife has a NO NUDITY Policy, but since she is not the Photographer (and is not home during my Shoots)

Look for a book called "Betty Page:Confidential". It's a very good, inspiring book. There are some images of her bondage stuff. (Which I have to admit, blew my mind!! I just didn't know that kind of thing existed back then.)

I didn't. From the tone of her voice I decided that this wasn't worth discussing further. Some battles are worth fighting some aren't. This one certainly wasn't.

The BP images that I remember seeing look nothing like what Bondage has become now. You are of course correct in your definition.
