Some things that bother me. Her right hand looks bright and thick but then again, hands don't belong in a head shot and the makeup is too heavy for a head shot. Head shots should show structure and not makeup. The hot spots on her face, the crop at her chest as already noted.

Thanks Jim. I posted this image really looking for feedback on how my color & contrast is coming out on the web. I'v been shooting a little too flat lately and I'm trying to rein myself back in.

I think a tighter crop to help with the breast shadow would be good as well. The light source had to be low, we actually shot this in a shower and the hieght of ceiling precluded a higher light source. I'm not bothered by the catchlight being a little low, but I do see the vreast shadow and think that can be improved. The hands don't bother me so much.

The hotspots don't bother me so much either. I know they're pushing it, but it's no so blown out that you lose tons of detail. I kinda shoot like that anyway. It helps to clean up the skin some.

Hey man, really thanks a lot for your input, please don't quit giving it.

JT,

We were going for the 'there's a fire in pants and I want you to come put it out' look. Does it really come across as a headache?

Also, the catchlight thing has me perplexed. Other than helping with the shadow across the breast, is there any other reason you'd like to see it higher? Is it subjective? Is there something else I'm missing. I just wanna make sure that I'm not missing any other technical issues.

Thanks again so much for the feedback.

Mike

Either that are she is in a shampoo motion....it's not bad it's just static....

The catchlight at mid lower right axis just looks a little deer in the headlight syndrome. Do me favor??? Rubber stamp it and clone the catchlight to 45 degree upper left from center of the iris facing you...clone out the original catchlight. Even both catchights on both eyes and see if it improves the look...you will know what I am talking about once you see it...

... glad to see that Wendi finally hooked up with a respectable and professional photographer... she had been tryin to shoot with me for over a year but I just can't get her consistently to keep in touch and I think she had some unlucky health situations too. I am glad that u2 hooked up however.

I can't wait to see more of your work. I am not a headshot photog so I really don't know what constitutes a perfect or usable headshot....

I'm all about cleavage.... does that work? LOL

Hi Mike

I think we're working in the same circles. Looks great. My only suggestion would be to raise the main light and bring it around to your left some (less fill) . Here's one of Wendi from a couple weeks ago.

Keep up the good work.

Since I don't post images very often, I was wondering if there is a trick to posting images to this site? It seems that the web software has altered my image. It's much softer and more pixelated???

Any suggestions?

I'll try and re-post in the morning and see what happens.
