Thanks Dean....I wasnt really sure about the lighting in these, Im experimenting with something since Im limited on lighting equipment..
I made a sock from ripstop nylon I doubled it..then sewed an elastic band ...that fits over my 7" reflector...I used it for the main light..then put my 30x40 softbox behind her and camera left for a touch of kicker lighting..I havent heard any likes or dislikes on the lighting...so Im not really sure about it.....one thing I have noticed..it makes a really tiny catchlight in the eyes...which Im not really big on...I think next time Im going to switch them around...and see what effect I get...always playing around to see what I come up with...
Don.

I like the lighting, the shadows add nice depth to it... something I still have to work on. I agree the catch lights are a bit small. I moved the screen up and down to begin with, thought it was just something on my screen. Still a nice image.

Think of it like this, if we always got it right the first time, what would we have to learn? This coming from someone that is stuck on step 5 of 1000 so rekkon I have plenty of room to learn. Always enjoy seeing your work.
Hope to have some new ones for you to look at tomorrow night.

Well Dean...Im stuck on step 6 maybe....if you ever have a question that I can answer feel free to ask...if I do something you like..just ask me how I did it..I'll be more than happy to help you out...I just looked at your port and I see some really major improvement in your work...so you're heading in the right direction..now if you can get all these mentors back on track from bickering with one another we might even move on up to step 5 and 7!!!
ChipBulgin sure gave me some great advice...start with one light and a reflector...then add lights as you need them..so guess what....I started with the experimental light....then added the softbox because I thought she needed a bit of seperation...!
ta da!!
Keep it simple for awhile....heck im going to start experimenting doing some headshots...with the light in different locations just to try to develope something I like that I havent done yet..
I better grab my parachute incase I fall flat again!
Don.
