but here is an image of Kori with NO PHOTOSHOP trickery applied: No clone tool, no healing brush, no softening, no sharpening, no filters, ONLY Levels, gama split and Curves.

Kori is a model that makes this job fun and very rewarding...

Robert,

Beautifully executed shot.

Erm, what's a gamma split and what does it do?

And may your nights be forever sleepless, but I do dislike the blueline through the head, but such nits hold little sway.

Robert, you killed me with that GORGEOUS image of Kori the other day and today you resurrected me back to life . . . well, by all indications! Wow, she's a stunner. Got any more?

is never done until it is done. If I have 20 shots in a sequence and pull four of them to finish, then those four are given "the treatment" as if they were [are] going to publication. My good friend David Mecey likes to think that it should come off the film (out of camera) perfect, I am never so optimistic, I like to jump into an image with all four... if you get my meaning. I will spend another half hour on this image of Kori to make it right... so no matter how good it is in camera, I know I can make serious things happen in post production - and for me it is always extremely rewarding.

Curves and levels always boost the contrast and shift the data so it is far more printable and color correct... this is where having the dead on monitor helps. But most importantly the balance in value and contrast can make a world of difference in the image's true integrity, you know it is exposed absolutely perfectly, even though you may have been a bit light or dark in camera. Glare alone can make this simple task a major improvement. I will post the two images side by side once I finish working on the shot as it is now. In the meantime here is an image I just finished... it is always great to end up with so many usable shots from one session. Kori makes that happen.

Thanks Robert!! now looking at this image brings up another Glamour 101 question...she has Highlights all over the place(in all the right places)
which are almost pure white, notice most of my images dont have that, which I wish they did,,,however...I cant seem to determine the diff between a highlight and Hot spot....when you have some free time..I'd love to hear your words of wisdom....
Don.

I don't like that line either... but I had to leave it in order to be a man of my word. You know it will be gone when I am finished imaging this photo. Thanks Mike... and BTW, what's this I hear about you moving? Do tell please.
