I really thank you all for your responses. I was beginning to think I had not done something right. I was paid and I paid the MUA so that's one good thing. But I still feel bad for my client -- I'll get over it and move on -- but it still made me feel bad for her. All I have left to do right now is crop the images and send them to the lab for printing. BTW - they opted for 11x14's of the two images that were "just okay".

Like I said, this is the first time this has happened. I've shot many many boudoir and nude images for clients - and lately a lot for women whose SO is in Iraq (I even bought a 6'x10' flag to use in the background and I charge a very low rate to do them for the women - I remember how important a cool image was to me in VietNam). I've had husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends, fiance's, etc. come to the studio and they have all been very supportive and had a positive attitude toward their SO doing a shoot. Every (really, every) client has told me that it was fun and they were very comfortable with the whole process. I even have a few clients that come back each year for an updated image - way cool!!!

I sincerely thank everyone for your views and your posts. You've made me feel a heck of a lot better.

Okay, I need to get back to the studio and shoot a some headshots and fashion for a male model client. He needs to update his portfolio.

Y'know, I've been doing quite a few of these myself, Seems to be a lot of that "wanna see wifey starkers on film-osis" going around. They're good and quick cash, and yada yada...but a couple of them have REALLY given me the creeps! This is all sexual fantasy stuff for these folks, strictly arousal material, and I've got no problem with that concept or anything, but some of these mid-life crises guys can get pretty bizarre at the shoot. Hollering things that a man shouldn't be hollering at someone he loves, and much more inappropriate weird stuff for this forum. These sessions are a flat fee two hour maximum shoot. I give them all camera shots, straight to disc, on the spot. NOBODY watches (kind of a policy for all my shoots, If you aren't lights, makeup, grip, direction, talent or trigger, you're somewhere else). Hubby/SO wants to watch, that's an extra 100 bucks a half hour (which usually does the trick [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]. I've only collected that 100 bucks once!). They can stay in the building, even in the room but behind curtain, but not in the shooting theatre. No comments or the show's over. This is also why they sign a no refund agreement that spells all this weird stuff out and pay for the session on arrival. WHY THE STRICT POLICY AND PRE-PAY? Second session I did about a year ago was a 40 something woman, looking to "spice things up", with her husband. Whatever, I'm not, as it has been said on this thread, a marriage counselor. I'll shoot the show if they've got the dough. He wants to watch, he's her husband, she didn't object. I told them I never like the idea, that it's not helpful in getting the model to relax for the camera, but again, their dough. About 10 minutes into the session, she's just gotten topless, I hear weird noises behind me. I turn around and the freak's got his pants down around his ankles and he's, well...

I'll admit, I freaked COMPLETELY out. I could have wrung his neck, that is if he hadn't grossed me out too much to even touch him. Show ended immediately. I quite ceremoniously threw them out, told him he was friggin' lucky I didn't call the law. Felt kind of sorry for her, but... too damned bad. Didn't, of course get paid. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] Things like that tend to thicken your skin for future sessions, but when they really want the shots, they usually agree to the rules, and so far it's worked out ok.
