I really like #1. I enjoy anything to do with water. #2 I like your eyes. Very well done.Wonderful smile. Great pose. #3 seems to be a little dark. But thats just me.

I'm not sure if your looking for evaluations on the photography, modeling, or both. Here's a couple of things that struck me.

#1 - I would like to see the photo closer in on you. There's too much water, and not enough focus on you.

#2 - It's cute and I like the lighter make-up on you, it brings out your features

#3 - My guess is you were going for the gothy, moody look, but the lighting is too dark, and the photo as a whole doesn't represent you well.

I think you have definite potential as a model, and would benefit greatly from a photographer who has a more advanced knowledge of lighting. Overall, they're a decent start.

Okay Sheena, here's my opinions on the images. I'm just an amateur, so take my statements for what they're worth...

#1: I wish the horizon line was, well, horizontal. I would've liked to see you either to one side or the other in the frame, or tighter cropped.

#2: Looks a bit underexposed. I think the whites should be whiter. In this case I think I'd like to see more of the outfit, too.

#3: Again, not digging the framing here... Here I'd like to see the image zoomed out some, with your head placed more to the upper left in the frame, not in the center. This one looks a bit underexposed, too.

Anyways, that's just what I see. If your photographer's just starting out and he hasn't joined here, get him to, he'll learn a lot. Well like I said, I'm pretty much a noob photographer too, and I know I got a lot to learn too, but hopefully this will help some.

Sam

(The whites could probably be whiter in this one, too )

None of those look like professional photographs that you could put in a printed portfolio to take to agency. You have good expressions though. A good photographer will capture them.

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I have to be honest. #1 - needs to cropped in tighter, too much water and not enough of you. #2 & #3 are a bit dark, which could be a look, but, just a technical thing. Both #2 & #3 have good composition, #2 especially - great smile. Compared to the images you have in your portfolio, these almost stack up. Just my opinion, whatever it's worth.

I agree with Jacki. The composition is off, the exposure is off, the editing is off (what's with the over-exaggeration in eyes and teeth? the overlay trick is a bit overdone), the color balance is off, lighting is off and the pictures look pixelated like they were from a point and click (actually my canon a70 would have done a better job with the fill flash).

Get a professional...who doesn't shoot with a webcam.

Sheena,

Call me at 912.729.3896. Come see me and I'll help you get a good book started. These photos are just not flattering. I can't stand to see you trying so hard only to get images like these.

Mike
