I would normally apologize for offending someone, but I won't in this case.
It was store bought and she is a young woman that loves her country in times like these.
I feel I have earned the right in defending her choice of displaying the flag you see I served this country of ours for over 20 years. I served in an unpopular war, I served in a popular war. I was shot at, spit on and attacked in several countries. I sat off the coast of two other countries where the country thought they could get away with shooting at us and they paid a huge price for it.
I tied to get back in so I could continue serving this country but was politely turned down because I had already done enough for this country.
So when a young person shows this much enthusiasm for our colors I personally am not offended. When we was done the flag was properly folded and put away, it was not allowed to come in contact with the ground, and was handled with great respect.

Well, of the three, I think the first one looks best...

I hope you don't mind, but I played with one of your images to see if I could get the color a little punchier:

All I did was set the black and white points in Levels. I chose one of the darkest areas of her hair for the black point, and I chose one of the tiny highlights on one of her front teeth for the white point.

If you still think her skin tones look a little red, you might wanna try this:

Here I also went into Selective Color, and worked in Neutrals with the Magenta slider. Working with Neutrals in Selective Color is a pretty good way to clean up skin tones I believe, but I'd only do it after you get your Levels and/or Curves where they need to be. In this case the difference is extremely subtle, and you may not be able to tell a difference unless you put them together side by side. I only moved the Magenta slider once to the left (-1%). A little goes a long way. Much more than -2% and the skin starts to look yellowish.

Well I dunno if any of this helped at all, but hopefully it did!

Thanks man! When a person goes through something new and unusual (like me making a statement that actually has some clarity to it), it can be scary. It's times like these when you know who your real friends are!

Thanks for your love and support!

No problem! yours look better. I do the curves by numbeer to start off
15/15 124/124 248/248
Then I pull on the line to get it where I like it.
She did have a lot of make up on , and a good tan.
I used a Nikon sb 80 dx flash in AA mode.
I don't have an eloborate lighting system like these other guys in here.
I'm black and blue over some of the comments in here. There are guys such as yourself that actually tries to help and I appreciate that.

I thought you would of read it in the last post. The suit's illegal. I even put the law up and put the proper text in red. Plus as far as an image, her skins a bit green and the lightings flat.

I like the shot. Yes, there are some "legal" issues but I think that her suit is not fashioned to be "identical" to the American flag and for that reason, I don't know if that still makes it "illegal." The big thing about this is that I have NEVER heard of anyone enforcing that particular law about what looks like a flag. It is similar but not meant to be a facsimile thereof. There are loopholes to all of those things.

Be that as it may, I have also served my country for more than 20 years in the military (20 years officially last month) and I am not offended by this form of patriotism. I do not like to see the flag disrespected in any way but I have to wonder.....Americans have fought and died through numerous wars to preserve our freedom of speech, expression, etc., and as much as I hate to admit it, those who would deface the flag, unless I'm mistaken, are also constitutionally protected in voicing their opinions. THIS image is a form of constitutionally protected demonstration in FAVOR of our great country. Maybe some will disagree with me but the bottom line is that she looks wonderful and the flag looks glorious and everyone in Whoville rested peacefully.

Good day sir!

Mike

The swimsuit is not technically a flag, it is separate fabrics blue & white stars (not even the correct shade of blue), and red and white stripes. Now if she had cut upp a flag to make a swimsuit, that would have been in poor taste. BTW, the stars and stripes swimsuits are one of the most popular out there, and I haven't seen the government raid or even reprimand the Old Navy stores which carry many stars and stripes items very prominently.

Toni

one arm is stars, one arm is stripes, but neither ever was or ever will be a part of a flag
