Hi everyone!!!

I got a doubt the other day and i want to ask you that:

Is LUST the ultimate goal of glamour and nude photography?
Waiting for replies.

Lust is not the goal of glamour photography. I'd have to say it's more love or admiration, to admire the beauty of a woman or love in a warm, fuzzy kind of way rather than lust for her. That would be porn.

"lust" is a bit strong. "desire" comes closer. but glamour is not a one-dimensional thing in terms of its goal. certain inciting "lust" "or "desire"can be part of it, but i think to properly define the goal, it takes more than on adejective and they won't all be synonymous, in fact, some of them will seem to contradict each other.

I guess it depends on who you ask. How you present something is as important (or more so) than what you present. A subject can be presented in such a way as to look like run-of-the-mill porn, or more like art. Personally my main goal is to capture a cool image, whether it's nude or fully clothed. Nudity doesn't get any extra points in my book, either it's appropriate for the shot or it isn't. If nudity is all a photo has to offer, then it's of no more use than the hoards of terrible 'home porn' on the internet.

"Mu."

(This is a Discordian word which means, "Your question cannot be answered because it is based on incorrect assumptions." It is, for instance, the proper answer to "Have you stopped beating your wife?")

There is no single goal, ultimate or otherwise, in glamour photography, other than to portray "glamour." Why you are doing it can vary over time.

Hail Eris!
I am constantly pleased by how often I run across R.A.W. references, and in the Discordian spirit, by how random the references generally are. "Mu" is also the sound of a Sacred Chao...

All hail Discordia!

Actually, I never read anything by Bob Wilson until many years *after* I became a Discordian. Many people (which may include you, or may not) think the quotes from the Principia in the Illuminatus! books were made up by Wilson for dramatic purposes, but they weren't. The Principia Discordia is a real book: Wilson used quotes from it (it predates the Illuminatus! books by a good long while) when writing.

Interested and interesting parties may see an online version of the Principia, the Wholly Holy Book of Discordianism, at http://www.principiadiscordia.com . "Mu" is indeed the sound a Sacred Chao makes: in boring old Japanese, it means "no-thing" and comes up a lot in Zen parables.

Hye Alan,
i really agree when you say that if nudity is all that a photo can offer , then it can be porn.
I think that controling the light, background, shadows, props, wardrobe, hairstyle are the elements that make glamour and nudity an art for admiration.
