..with photoshop that is.

Whatz up yall? Whut it iz homiez? Hehe..

Anyways, since I haven't posted a new thread in a while and Mr. Lyman noticed, so here it is. I was bored last night and was looking through some old work from a couple months ago with Brenda. Picked one of the ones I didn't edit before and started photoshoppin away. This isn't my usual editing, but wanted to try something different. Thoughts anyone?

I like it. I like the color and tones. My monitor is really really really dark so I can't see the one side of her face, but I'm sure on a good monitor it probably looks great. Very pretty model.

Randy,

Using diffuse glow will make hair grow on your palms...

Cool pic, just for giggles try this:

Open the original

create a duplicate layer

run about 25 pixels of gaussian blur on the dupe layer

change the blending mode on that layer to soft light

yee haw

also try changing the blending mode of the dupe layer to

screen

multiply

hard light

and any damn thing else you feel like

play with the opacity of the layer and maybe a curves layer on top

have fun

Shannon

P.S. If you already knew this technique my apologies for thinking you didn't

Messin around with Brenda was a fantastic idea. Hope you mess around with her some more.PhotoShop that is... Dig her eyes! Looks as if she is watchen me watch her. Her eyes penetrate right thru the screen. I also enjoy the PS concept. Whats the process Randy? You see I just continue to learn.

Thank you Kelly. You are right.. It is a little dark, so I did a quick touch up on that side of her face. Selected and feathered at 5px to bring a little detail. I like it and think it looks even better. Thanks!

Although it still might look a little dark but this time its probably due to resizing.

Shannon,

Glad I could entertain you with my messing around hehe.. I didn't know the technique and will give it a shot today. I'm going to save this as a text file just so I can refer to it too. Thank you sir! Any more? hehe..

The reason why I started messing around last night was because I went to Barnes and was looking through a few books of photoshopping. There were some really cool stuff on there and gave me a few ideas. Barnes is cool! Its like a hip library.

Hello Mr. Lyman. Thanks for the PM again. Glad you like it. The process.. well to get the effect I should say was fairly simple and could be achieved in countless ways in photoshop. Heres one..

hue/saturation > colorized selected then messed with the hues and saturation
filter > distort > diffused glow

Not sure which I did first among the two but went back and played around with both to my liking. I also did my usual processing too. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need help anytime.

Kelly, I noticed you've change the pixel width of your supershoot's logo and it and it won't fit quite right when browsing these posts, so makes one have to scroll back and forth to read them when in the group mode. If you keep the pixel width at 750 or less, then this won't happen. Naturally for those who are on monitors where the resolution is greater than 1024 x 768, this won't be a problem. But 67% of all users are still on 1024 x 768 or less.

By the way, my monitor is color balanced, and his shot still looked dark on one side.

Cheers,
rfs

Man I have got to find myself some new places to shoot. The seamless is nice to learn, but I'm hungry for more! Time to explore.

Yes, I liked the background a lot also. This one was located in the cowtown area of Fort Worth and is under a bridge. There is a neat stream in back of where I was shooting. There are some really neat areas there to shoot. In fact, the shot below was made of Kay Lynn just a few minutes later from the exact same spot but turned around facing the water:
