These are a couple Matrix concept shots I started working on. The best, a location shot, I'm still working on. The white paper was more quickly editable, so I chose them first. Which works better. The full lenth shot (I know I still need to work the floor better and I realize his foot is slightly cut off so, ignore those issue's that can be fixed later) or the zoomed in version? Thanks for your input.

My main issue is with the way his arm is cocked back. It gives the illusion that he has a mini arm. Like his elbow is growing out of his shoulder. I just can't get passed that to give you more input.

I know I am suppose to post an image with my critique, but I'm having issues. You can just hit me next time you see me!

Corey,

Never realized how much Chris looks like Keanu Reeves till this very second.

I think the first one has a much stronger sense of danger and emotion to it.

I'd agree with Kelly and her arm issues on the second, it's much more obvious in the full body shot.

And there you have my half nickel's worth.

Shannon

i don't think one works better than the other. you have a medium shot and a full shot (in cinematic terms) and if this were a motion picture you would need both (and more) in order to dynamically edit a fight sequence like this.

I think the first one fails to add dramatism and dynamism. The second one is better in this way and resemblance with Neo is quite strong. On the second one the whole body "speak" and the expression of the face is stil visible.
I think the second one could be a bit more dramatic if you could hang in the air the bottom part of his coat, like he was moving fast.
