I always appreciate feedback! Honestly, I don't always have a goal in mind as far as "where I'm going" She just looked pretty with the light on her this way (aw heck, she just looks pretty, whom I kidding).
But I just thought the shot looked good in this instance to I took it.

As far as my legs and feet, I'm bored with it and I'm trying something else as early as tomorrow morning at 4:30. I'm getting my "night owl" butt up, driving to Santa Monica to be there before the traffic starts and meet with a model by 7:30 am who shares my artistic vision and we're going to try something new.

So, cross your fingers for me

Thanks man, I am impressed with you're stretching to do new and different. The difference I think between you and I is if they had known what ADD was when I was a kid I would have been diagnosed and treated and that would have probably screwed me up more. You grab a concept and you work it until it tires or disinterests you. I jump around like crazy. I meet a new model and my brain goes 'holy crap Batman she is just what we were thinking about when we woke at 3 AM in a sloppy sweat, three months ago'. I have to be changing and trying different things. That does not mean that if you placed my images on a timeline you would not see a thread but it is twenty signwave curves in slightly displaced threads. That's me. I wish I could fully ecxplore an idea as you do but it may take me a lifetime to stick with one that long.

here the blue and the yellow make a great 'high contrast' look. Since they are opposite colors in the color circle. Your 'interest' gives you a great eye for marketing shoes and legwear in general. Stay in course and you would have a great portfolio that could interest some artbuyers.
Tripod and at least 400 ISO would have done wonders for this shot. Take a look at it on your screen at 100% magnification, if it's blurry you have lost 90% of the battle.

i didnt' think that first one "sucked like a hoover." in fact, i thought it had a lot of potential. ya know, you could have done a custom WB on that available light and your color temp would have right. that way, you could have always color tinted it in post and gone back to something similar if you were liking the colors the way they were at the location.

Thank you sir for taking the time to reply to me. I greatly respect your knowledge and experience. The ADD thing hits home with me actually, because they (school nurse and counselor) once tried to say I had ADD, problem is, my grades were too good. So, maybe you just bore easily. I actually bore easily myself, I just, for some reason don't with my photography.

It's always good to see your latest work!

Thanks Jimmy!

I actually took it in RAW mode, so I'm playing with different WB options to see what happens with it. I had it white balanced for shade as I was shooting in the shade before the sun set, and wanted to keep the sky looking natural (as apposed to balancing for tungsten...accept these were tungsten lights with yellow glass...so not sure what that would have done)

Anyway, I'm going to play with it...and others and see what comes out of it. Thanks for the thoughts!

When I zoom in on the original RAW photo, it looks soft, but not "blurry". It's weird, her face looks a little plastic like though. Next time, tripod and 400!
