Don:

Lighting experiment? Sounds like a standard portrait set up to me unless your talking about the rip stop nylon.

I have to disagree with marc grant about the flat lighting though, because there are dark shadows all over the right places but I think if you would have lowered your fill light and brought it closer to the camera it could have minimized them a little bit. Nice butterfly lighting on her face.

You're right Rick,,maybe I should have said Accessory experiment, I read an article on a site about a Maxim photographer explaining a lighting set up..using a sock....so I made one and tried the set up explained in the article
to see if I'd like it.
with a bit of tweeking...I think I will like this.

Two suggestions:

Either A. get rid of the softbox altogether

or

B. make it at least two stops below your main sock, uh, head.

Get some drama, snap, contrast into it.

God only works with one light. How many do you need?
