This is the first part of a recreation of WWII nose art called the "Dragon Lady." This is part of a 4-layer image.
The live action is done photographic, the rest is a combination of artwork,
CGI (foreground and virtual lighting elements), miniature (B-24 Liberator), matte painting(night skies and mountains w/fog).
I will update the image as I add the additional elements. So this image will
actually pan back so you can see the xtra elements.
Note: the pillows were hand-made by the stylist on my crew (Carmen).
Same with the jewelry (Carmen).
Make up designed by me and applied by my Make-Up artist (Robert).
Lighting was designed by me and arranged by my assitant (David).
Kimono was loaned to us by a dept store as long as we dry cleaned it
and brought it back in one piece.
The fans, umbrellas, cigarette holder was purchased from a thrift store.
We shot the lights a little hot on the umbrellas so that it'll merge and
blend in with the rest of the elements later in post production.
hope you enjoy.
