RG, I don't mind having the many categories, in fact it's very beneficial. My only nit has been I couldn't delete a photo, and I noticed 2 of the photos were in a different catagory than what I choose.
I did find a way to delete a photo, but it was a backward way of doing it.

Please take note: I am not complaining here, just letting you know.
I realize it's not the easiest thing to do here, just keep up the good work and stay chilled. It'll come together. You can't please everyone.

rolando,
cograts on the new forum. not sure what was broken with the old one, but happily, i don't run this site

a few quick comments: (sorry that they're both negative, i know how sensitive people can get here)

1) other than it appearing to have no "soul" it has no color either

2) black text on a white background is not exactly innovative, nor exciting

Try as I might, when I'm not logged in I cannot see my portfolio. I can see some peoples portfolios, but not all, maybe 50/50. I think it has something to do with being able to view the thumbnails. Logged in I see everything just fine. When not logged in I cannot see thumbnails of my work in the profile or anywhere else. When I try to view my portfolio it says I'm not authorized. I find it interesting that I can see some peoples portfolios but not others. Is there some switch in my profile I need to set? Anyone else run in to this problem?

I am not tottaly sold yet. As has been mentioned, there is a bit of "getting used to it" that needs to be done. I have found that things are a bit more difficult to figure out than before (then again, that might just be me) and I kinda miss the feature where you could have custom colors (I have a thing against brightness I guess).
Overall, things look good. As I mentioned, I will have to get used to it, which I am sure I will.

I've been a member for 3 years. It's a natural human tentency to resist change, even when it's for the better. I would sugest to you become a member and take advantage of all benefits. I think the change to G1 will be a safe and fun ride!!

The new design is great. I only have one question. How do you do a search for a model in a certian area, say like Wyoming models? Sorry I'm sure it is very easy, but I have not figured it out yet.

I do not like it Sam I am.
It took me a couple minutes just to figure out how to reply to this post.
I still cant find a way to search through members, models of photographers, at all. And that poll thing in almost every post is just annoying!
I'm not a paying member, so I probably have no right to complain.
But comming from where we were a month ago, to this, honestly makes me glad I didn't pay up before the switch.

Yours in Jesus,
Jackell

Search is coming, it's been posted a hundred times, it's coming shortly, like this week, and we're still tweaking. Patience brings improvements, thanks for the feedback, rg.

I have to agree that the site is anything but intuitive. I am pretty computer savy and could rebuild a nuclear reactor from a good set of instructions. I am confident we photographers and models can figure G1 out with any help page or instructions, but what about our audience. Is Glamour1 a private photographers/models club? When I want someone to see my work on line what do I tell them? For now I have to send them to *** (the step child). One click, poof! Images! GG was ALWAYS my prefered link. Instant access, great search capability! However now the GG and G1 link sends them into the abyss with no way to even find me or other photographers or models, even if they know their name! I understand the reasons for the change, with child protection issues. I figured that was why the different categories were set up. Unfortunately there is no instruction, or intuition where to upload your images or how to find them after you do!

How about some instructions for setting up a link the the photographers'/models' page?

The good news. It is difficult to figure out how to post so the complaints should be kept at a minimum!

Thanks for listening.
