Hi all

I was able to attend three nights during the last week at the Melbourne Motorola Spring/Summer Fashion Week, On Tuesday night I was at Baroq House for the Zen Zero Release, and then attended the town hall on Thursday and Friday night were I had a media pass to be in the Media Riser at end of the runway.

I have about 700+ photos to sort through, however due to work commitments and also a wedding that I am shooting tommorow I havent had much of a chance to go through them all completly.

The lighting in the town hall was incredible, camera settings were ISO400, F/4.0 @ 320 ...I didnt get this information unlil the second night so some of my photos on the Thursday were a little underexposed.

On the Thursday I shot with a Canon EOS-20D with a Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG/HSM (77mm). On Friday I used a Canon EOS-350D for the first show and then the second show (repeat of the first) I used the Canon EOS-1D both with the Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG/HSM (77mm).

I made alot of contacts, some worth there weight in gold. Also have to send some of my photos from the RMIT show to a PR Manager who is using them in a presentation, I also rubbed shoulders with photographers from: The Age, Heral Sun, MX, Getty Images, various magazines and some Freelancers. I also got to talk to Camera crews from Channel 7 and some lower end film crews.

The photos below are from "The Looking Glass" which was the Thursday night 8pm show ...I also have shots from the RMIT parade that was on at 10pm that night, some of the outfits had to be seen to be believed.

All and all some nice photographs, although a few are not cropped as well as they might be, but I assume that you had no real control of location, etc. You might consider some different cropping in post however. I can say that some of the outfits qualify as bizarre, to say the least (such as #5).

Really nice work! Until people try shooting from "the pit" at a major fashion show they will never believe how hectic and crazy shooting can get.
