What I mean by reads is that the white balance, sharpening, noise reduction and exposure are very close to what you see if you open the RAW files up in Nikon's Capture NX. About the only difference I can see is that the exposures are a bit off in Capture One, it seems to be about 1/4 stop light.
Open the same photos in Lightroom and they look completely different than what you would see in Capture NX. The camera profiles help a lot, but they aren't as good as what you get strait out of Nikon's Capture NX or Capture One. And the color profiles adobe has released also seem to cause magenta/green color banding in neutral tone gradients. So when that happens you have to go back to the normal ACR profile which totally screws up the color, exposure, sharpening and white balance.
