The flash did not go off and I pull the exposure way up. Too much noise. Please help me clean this up. And let me know what you did.

You are better off putting up the original darker version if you want people to give it a shot.

In Photoshop, duplicate the layer and then set the Layer mode to "screen". Here is a screen shot of the layer applied and the screen mode choice:



You can repeat the process several times till you get the effect you want. If a given layer repeat gives to much, then use opacity to tweak it.

The photo of Cynthia shows the too dark image and the one with the above effect combined in one shot. Since this was a RAW shot, I would normally use the RAW converter to solve this kind of problem.
