Anyone use this?

DIGITAL GEM Airbrush Professional Plug-In

Comments, feedback, recommendation? It looks like it can save a lot of time. Any others out there to look at?

Thanks, Art.

I have the digital Gem Plug in and think it does an amazing job. I seldom use Gaussian blur anymore. I use it on it's own layer than then adjust the opacity to taste and then use a mask to erase the smoothing effect around eyes or anything I want sharp. You can try it for free it just has water marks on your image until you pay for it. I used it on this which may appear to smooth after downsizing but it looks great on the full size image.

I have it and used it on the last few models I shot. I feel does a good job, not as good as making skin layers, and blending them yourselve, but it saves time it does soften up some things to much. So like the other poster said be sure and do it on its own layer.

It really is a time saver.

I used it on this one

And this one

This one I did the old fashion way, it may seem a little much, but she loved it.

I agree with Ken. It is my most used portrait retouching plug-in. Always use it on a duplicate layer. Experiment with the settings until you find ones you like. It is very effective as a Photoshop Action. Add a layer mask and use a black brush to eliminate the effect on areas you want sharp (eyes, hair, etc.).

Aloha,
