Since the topic was brought up this morning here I did soem looking. I realized that all the tutorials for Photoshop actions regarding Watermarking your images make a terrible assumption...that all your images are the same orientation, size, and dimensions. I decided to write a tutorial (with pictures) for everyone on how to make an action and or droplet that will add your custom signature to your images automatically. Follow the below link over to my website to see this tutorial.
http://www.nikonnexus.com//index.php...id=31&Itemid=2
Being as I just wrote this today and I believe it to be correct I would like you to please let me know if you find a glaring problem with my tutorial. thank you and hopefully this will help some of you out.

That's a great tutorial. The part that was really helpful was the place command.

Though I haven't tested it, I think the tutorial is very well done and many will find it useful.

I found this out a year or two ago and use it quite often. Thank you for sharing it.

this is a great tutorial, well done.
I tried to do it in Photoshop7, but wasn't successfull at it, I don't have imageready program. I couldn't find the "watermark" action in P7....
is there a way of doing it only in P7 ??
Thanks, Gosia

No you cannot make this action in Photoshop. Photoshop lacks the "PLACE" function that allows relative positioning of things. In photoshop you can only place things in static locations which does no good when working images that are both horizontal and verticle.

you can use the "align" command in photoshop for relative positioning instead of imageready's "place" command...

Great post. I figured out a batch but not placement. Thanks.

Could you zip and post the batch file? Yes, I am lazy. LOL

You can use just Photoshop.

When you have your watermark on it's own layer, select both the watermark layer and the main image layer and under the Layer menu choose ALIGN -> Bottom Edges then again choose ALIGN -> Right Edges or wherever you want to put your mark.

Then choose only your watermark layer and nudge it into place. The actions will record all of this and you don't need to open imageready at all.
