I've been working on some old pictures of Sarah.
Went in with photoshop changed the background. Warmed her up a bit. Looks great on my computer.
Then I did a second one and changed her dress color. It looks Ok, not done with the finer deails like the lines and stuff. I did this in srgb. Still looked ok on the computer then I saved for web. OMG it looks like total _ _ _ _
I changed her dress color to red, now it looks like orange. If I could get some help here I would appreciate it. I'm not going to leave this in my portfolio for more than 24 hours. I need to fix this and take it down.
Edit in 16 bit mode. 9 layers. Desaturated the background and crosshatch filtered it. Color balanced Sarah, then Layered out her dress and painted it pure red. You can see it looks terrible, not what I expected. NOTHING like what it looked like before I saved for web.....yuck

Looks very orange here and lacking detail in the dress. Are you starting from a RAW or JPEG?

Here's a quick go from the lowres JPEG you posted.

Appologies if you object to me posting an edit of your picture. Let me know if you want me to remove it and I'll take it down.

BTW, cloning out the houses and power poles in the background would improve it too, IMHO.

I was bored so went a bit further.

Reduced JPEG artifacts
Cloned out the power poles
Shadows under the feet and hand
More clean-up of the dress

I don't mind what ya did I was going to do all that anyway. The original photo is in my Portfolio.
I got the color shift in save for web. It shifted a lot.
I started out in srgb, save for web is in srgb. Red went orange. It's not suposed to do that. I did change from Adobe CS to Adobe CS2./
I must have a setting wrong.
So what did you do? How big is the file now?
JPEG ARTIFACTS??

I don't understand that. I think something else must be happening.

I just can't think what it would be to cause such a change. You don't have "View->Proof Colors" switched on do you?

The PSD is a bit over 4MB zipped. Do you want me to email it to you?

Colour blocks caused by the JPEG compression. This is normal but usually is not a problem unless you want to re-edit a JPEG or it is saved at too low a quality.
