Hi Everyone....I really like DeAnns expression in this image.but it just doesnt POP!! her expression is awesome so I think it needs something not quite sure what...but I was playing with in photoshop..tried and tried and frankly I dont impress myself!! if you get bored take a shot at it...and splain what you did if you wouldnt mind...

Actually no...yours is a good job, but it flattens out what Im trying to POP.Im trying to get the cheeks to pop and the highlights....damn Ive got to learn better lighting...DeAnn has really round cheeks....and Im just not getting the highlights to shadows on them....

I'm not sure but I think what you're looking for can only be achieved by fresnel lighting, softbox or umbrella's won't get it. She is great though. JMHO

Thanks Coach, I thought it was just me..now matter what Ive tried I just cant get those little highlights in the right places..without losing shadow..which causes things to flatten out....mmmmm guess I should work on my dodging skills

I don't know if you are working on a Mac or PC but when you save images for the web, you SHOULD be saving them in the sRGB colorspace. I notice your images were in the AdobeRGB colorspace and on PCs this tends to make the images loose contrast and "pop". Aside from that the hilites on the face are not very pronounced so you have to fake it in photoshop. I did this a little. I also adjusted the colors as I felt they were a bit off. I softened the face just a little (not as much as you did). Here is the result. You can download the psd file HERE.

mmmmmm thats odd.....I have my color space set to sRGB when I work in photoshop and save for web with ICC profile checked...
I'll have to check this out..
