with PS, drawing around Tara's very cool torso tattoo (a cover up, believe it or not) with magnetic lasso, select inverse and desaturate, and repeating with the inside detail. I don't know how many practical applications there are for this sort of thing, but I like knowing how to do it, and it looked pretty cool, so I thought I'd share it.

Thanks for sharing. In my wedding photos my brides like this type of look. ie flowers in color the rest in b&w. This tech really has a lot of different uses.

I like it, nice figure, nice work.

This is the sort of stuff I like to tinker with too. Here's a fairly extreme version but it's one of my favorites. I generally cut paths using the pen tool unless the detail is too intricate, then I build up masks using contrast enhancement.
