OK, everyone, I thought this might be fun. There's been a lot of discussion of Chroma key in the year I've been around GG, and it's well known how I DEARLY LOVE how Chroma key for still photography measures up to its use on video , but the tools are there, so away we go. I've posted an image of Jasmine I shot against a Chroma Key blue drop. I did my extraction work on PS, such that it is, and dropped her image over a lovely scene from tropical North Ridgeville, Ohio yesterday morning. My invitation to all. Do your own extractions, drop the image on a scene from your neck of the woods, and let's send Jasmine around the world! Have at it!

OK, so YES, it IS just like a cheesy supermarket coloring contest, but I STILL think it will be fun, and who knows, some of the contrasts in work could be quite educational.

If I get a chance, i will take a stab at it...but when shooting for this type of thing, you really need to position her further away from the backdrop, and make sure you light it well, and give her a backlight as separation as well. The idea is to make sure there are no shadows cast on the Blue Screen. Granted, I am talking from my experiences with shooting this stuff for film and video...there is a bit more room for tweaking when you are only doing one shot as opposed to 24 or 30 per second! One suggestion, maybe blur the background a little to give it more depth of field?! Also, the bright lighting of the snow doesn't match the lighting on the model. So, maybe brighten her up a tad?! Just thoughts.
