As photographs, I think they're both excellent. The boots are absolutely great, and if there's a market for the "glass frame/sunglasses fetish" crowd, you've got a winner.

But - although I've never been - as an AD, I'd be wondering about the soft focussed regions. For the boots, I think it'd be a better sell of the boot by including the entire boot in focus.
The glasses are a different issue - having the part nearest the viewer be so soft and yet have that bright highlight I think detracts from the impact by drawing too much attention to too soft a region.

So,... - good art, but I'm not so sure about commercial - but I'm not qualified, either.

Beautiful images, IMO.
