What is the going rate for photographs to be used for commercial advertising? A large hotel chain, wants photos of refurbished lobby, guest rooms, and landscaping. The hotel is located on Hilton Head, SC. The cooprate offices for the chain are located in Chicago I believe.

Thanks

Google editorial photography.com I believe, they have a free pricing program after you enter parameters.

Seth Resnick has a great calculator on the ediitorial photographers assn site, like they said google it.

Most commercial uses are priced by the USAGE, assuming they want the images for their website, brochures, and advertising, you'll want to lisc them for each, priced by how many brochures, for how long, and how many and placement on the site etc. Jeffrey

Thanks for the info.

His pricing tables are a bit overwhelming, and I am not sure how my potential customer will like seeing those prices... He is on that upper part of the scale. I can only hope they are used to paying higher prices for there photographs to be used for advertising.

It depends, most of the times I charge 75,00 (euros) EX 19% VAT per hour, ex traveling expenses.

But for large publications the price is different.
