Cool little demo, but I did notice something that jumped out at me
--I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV, so this isn't gospel. Check with an attorney for specifics on copyright and their exact use and misuse--
My understanding of copyrights from my Journalism Law class, around 1990, is that it has three parts.
1. The copyright symbol, ©, or the word Copyright, (C) or abbreviations are not valid
2. The year the copyright covers (more below),
3. The holder of the copyright.
If any of these things are missing or incorrect, it can actually be less legal than not having one at all, since the simple act of creating an image grants you the copyright.
On the year thing, it is actually supposed to cover all the relevant years of the copyright. Relevant items include the creation dates and any modifications to it. So, if I take an image today (12/31/2004) and edit it tomorrow, it should really have ©2004-5, Mark Oehler.
Again, before I get flamed, I'm not a lawyer and this is just my memory of copyrights, so you should check with an attorney for specifics on usage, but I thought it might help someone out there.
