PocketWizards are your best bet. They'll trigger your strobes reliably. Disclaimer: I haven't used the Bowens/Calumet transmitter or Quantum's FreeWire system.
Also, if you have a newer Sekonic meter (L-358/558/658) you can purchase a PocketWizard transmitter for it, so you can trigger the lights with the meter.
