If the camera is still under warranty, it costs you shipping. If it's not, I don't know what the cost is, but they then warranty the body for another 6 months, or so I have read.
Also, I uploaded the 1.0.4 firmware without a problem. Everything worked fine. No problems uploading the 1.0.5 either. Just very carefully followed the instructions.
