Scott,

Since you are already planing on using incident meter perhaps a color temperature meter wouldn't add to much weight to your kit.

My guess is that you would have the most problems with the color temperatures when the sun is the lowest on the horizon. Otherwise, that the color temperature should stay consistent. Maybe, you could even make adjustments to the RAW files based on the time of day.

Anway, these are just a guesses.... I've never been that far south (or north) to worry about those kinds of conditions. I'd be more worried about keeping my "equipment" warm enough to work.
