Wild guess - assuming there's nothing wrong with the camera and that it's simply recording what it "saw" -
I wonder if it could be due to UV in the flash? The WL's tubes are not, as I recall, UV shielded and it's possible the amount emitted varies somewhat with the recharge time, etc.
Can you reproduce the problem? If so, try a UV filter.
