I am deeply humbled by your praise. I shot this in Portland, Maine last year. I saw the writing on the wall (pardon the pun) and the model, Jade, was dressed to kill in her Goth outfit and so I had to do it. I think it is one of my favorite photos ever and it is replete with emotion, as you said. Sometimes even a blind squirrel (me) can find a nut (a good picture) once in a while.
