I have a laptop and a desktop. I like them both for different reasons. I use my desktop to do my retouching because of the highest contrast range. I can see details in the shadows that don't appear on my LCD screen.
However I like to make color ajustments and make my prints using my laptop because the contrast range of the LCD screen is not too far from the one for paper.
I don't use any of the fancy gismos available on the market to calibrate the chain camera-screen-printer; so my opinion is enterely subjective.
