Favorite AF body? Canon EOS 1v. The one I actually use? EOS 3. The 3 does virtually everything the 1v does without interchangeable focus screens (I like the one it comes with just fine) and is just a shade slower with the shutter delay, not enough to notice unless you shoot sports, without the 10fps motor drive. Again, won't miss it if you don't shoot sports, and the viewfinder is slightly less than 100%. Sounds important but in reality its a niggly detail. In every other respect the EOS 3 is a very fine AF camera. I've even dropped mine against a rock once and it ticks on just fine.
Favorite 35mm body (MF or AF)? Contax RTS III. The damn thing's a Rolls-Royce, pure and simple, has the best feel in the hand of any camera of any format I've ever handled, it's spot-metering and pre-flash spot metering capabilities are excellent, and it's married to the best damn lenses you can find.
I'm also getting pretty attached to my Contax G1 rangefinder. Autofocus is a bit slow, but it's a wonderful take it anywhere for any purpose kind of camera.
