Greetings! The most invaluable lessons you'll experience will be to shoot with a manual body SLR. Doesn't matter the manufacturer, however, look to the future for lens compatibilty with D-SLR's. E-Bay has tons of used manual F bodies and FM bodies all the time at a fraction of the cost of the latest AF bodied cameras. BTW, the metal bodied cameras are heavy and built to take years of abuse!
