Okay, a fine young chap over at
www.shootsmarter.com gave the best advice I have read yet regarding color space usage in the debate over sRGB and Adobe 1998. Let me sum up;
If you are sending your shots to an arthouse/graphics firm to have the shot used in further graphic design work, send the Adobe 1998 files so that they have much color data to work with as possible when adding the image to the new artwork.
If you are sending the shot to a print house or directly to a printer, send ONLY the sRGB files because that's all they can use anyway due to hardware limitations.
So, IF YOU WANT, shoot everything in Adobe1998 to allow for maximum flexibility in image distribution options.
There we go. End of discussion. For me. For now. We'll have a new discussion when thing change enough to allow more range in B&W images.
