I'm debating whether or not I should dump the $80 for the latest Vuescan software or if I'd be ok using the current Nikon Scan Version 3.x software. I have used the Nikon Scan software for a couple years now but I never get good results from scanning. It could be operator error but I wonder if a different scanning engine like Vuescan would make a difference.
Has anyone used both and found one to be better than the other? I really want to get some quality slide scans from my Coolscan LS-2000 but it's just not happening. I am going digital next year but I still have thousands upon thousands of slides still waiting to be scanned for my stock photo business.
Your thoughts and insights would be most appreciated!
A very Merry Christmas to you all!
Mike
