I've been using Weins ever since they first came out. I use them with my Mamiya RZ 67, my Nikons, and my Canon G1 digital. One of my assistants uses it with his Canon G2, and my ex-partner uses it with his various Canon digitals (1Ds, 10D), all with no problems. (We use the basic SSR system). I have a friend who also has a Canon G2 and could not get his to work. Canon told him the voltage on the Wein had fried the circutry, and that he should use a lower voltage system. Then he tried using it with my Weins and it worked fine (so his Wein was faulty). I've never had a Wein fry any of the above mentioned cameras that belong to me or anyone I know, so I would not worry about the Weins. You can call Wein and call Canon to discuss it with them, but I have found that none of the manufacturers of any equipment will even acknowledge that any other manufacturer exists, much less tell you that whatever you have will work with their system. All I know is its never created a problem with the cameras that I know of.

I don't know the tech specs of the model you are using, but I doubt it matters much as far as damaging a camera, all the camera is doing is closing a circut that fires the Wein (which is really just a small flash). There's nothing going through the camera. If you want, call Wein. They've always been very helpful and easy to talk to. 213-749-6049 Let us know if you find out anything different?
