The thing is to take anything said here, pro or con, on any equiptment with a grain of salt. The best advice I can give you is to rent equipment before you buy and MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION AS TO WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU! THere's a lot to say about buying what is available locally. You might be setting up for a big shoot only to find a power cord plug, head or reflector has been damaged. Being able to go to a local source for replacement parts could save the shoot. Not to mention being able to rent some expensive accessory you'll rarely need except for this important shoot for a couple of bucks. So check with your local stores and rental houses as to what they carry and do some testing.
