I use the HP Photosmart s20. It will scan 35mm negs, slides and up to 5x7 prints. It is cheap and gives a 2400 dpi scan on the negs and slides. It is usb 1, so it is slow. But it works well. Keep in mind that scanning a bunch of negatives is a LOT of work. So to reduce teh work you may want to look at a fast neg scanner and one with ICE built in to handle the dust, specks, etc. problems that most negatives have.
